Making a Serial Killer Season 3 Confirmed by Radial Entertainment

Making a Serial Killer Season 3 is moving forward at Radial Entertainment, with a new 10-episode installment scheduled to premiere in December 2026.

The order extends Radial’s partnership with UK production company FirstLook Studios and adds another returning series to its true-crime slate. Announced during MIPCOM Cannes week, the new season will explore the backgrounds of serial killers, the investigations that stopped them, and the people affected by their crimes.

Making a Serial Killer Season 3 Release Details

The third season is set for a December launch across five countries. Radial holds rights in the United States, Canada, Germany, Switzerland and Austria.

The platforms carrying the series in those territories have yet to be announced. An exact premiere date has also not been revealed.

Ten New Episodes From FirstLook Studios

FirstLook Studios, previously known as FirstLook TV, will produce the new season in partnership with Radial.

The series combines accounts from people affected by the murders with testimony from law enforcement officers who investigated the cases. This approach connects each offender’s history with the evidence and decisions that helped bring them to justice.

What Will Making a Serial Killer Season 3 Cover?

The returning series examines both criminal behavior and the investigative process. Its focus includes the circumstances surrounding the crimes, the search for those responsible, and the consequences for victims and others affected.

Individual cases for the third season have not yet been announced.

Understanding Motive and How Killers Were Caught

FirstLook Studios’ Will Hanrahan described the program’s appeal as its examination of why offenders committed their crimes, alongside how those crimes unfolded and how investigators caught them.

He also emphasized the series’ established appeal among true-crime viewers and the strength of FirstLook’s editorial, commercial and strategic partnership with Radial.

That combination gives the format two connected threads: understanding the offender’s actions and following the investigation that exposed them.

Radial Expands Its International True-Crime Strategy

Cristina Guggino, Radial’s Vice President of Originals and Content Partnerships, said the company aims to build enduring true-crime franchises that connect with international audiences.

She highlighted FirstLook Studios’ role in developing that strategy. In describing the series, Guggino emphasized its examination of criminal psychology while maintaining attention on the human consequences of the crimes.

The latest order continues that collaboration, bringing the third season to audiences across the five territories covered by Radial’s agreement.

Who Is Producing the Third Season?

Katie Carroll and Cristina Guggino will executive produce for Radial Entertainment. Will Hanrahan serves as executive producer for FirstLook Studios, with Graham Smiles and Rachel Bowering as series producers.

Carroll, Radial’s Director of Originals and Business Development, negotiated the deal with Lucy Middelboe, FirstLook Studios’ Director of Business. The two executives have helped oversee the partnership since its inception.

More Radial Entertainment Announcements at MIPCOM

The Making a Serial Killer Season 3 order follows several other additions to Radial’s programming lineup during MIPCOM Cannes week.

The company ordered new episodes of Forensic Files from ITV Studios America and Content Partners. It also secured rights to the fourth season of World’s Most Evil Prisoners and revived A Haunting, the New Dominion Pictures title, for an updated run.

These agreements reinforce Radial’s investment in returning factual programming, with true crime playing a prominent role in its slate.

Streaming Platforms and Case Details Still to Come

For viewers, the main outstanding details are where to watch the new season and which cases it will feature.

The December 2026 release window and 10-episode order are confirmed, while territory-specific platforms, exact launch dates and episode subjects remain unannounced.
